Welcome to the world of Trojan Sports Academy. Before you dive to our world, we would like to make sure you know that by using our online platform, Artemis, to create this account you will become a member with us and agree to all of our terms and conditions….
….But, don’t worry, they aren’t as scary as a shark in the pool! As the primary member you will have the power to add your family members to your Artemis account…Its like making your own little squad!
During your membership with us, anyone registered on your account can join in on the fun. From exciting activities to awesome events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. But to find out about these events we and our partners will need to let you know about them. We won’t bombard you, but if you would rather not know about all the fun, then we can take you off the contact lists with a click of a button.
We all love a public holiday, and as a result we want to make sure our staff also feel refreshed for their lessons with you. Therefore, we will not be operating for the majority of the public holidays. At the start of the term we will outline the days we will be operating, if for any reason things change then we will of course let you know and offer a credit note or a catch up lesson. We will also offer you a catch-up lesson in the event that we have had to cancel a lesson for any reason.
We all get busy from time to time, and if there are times when you can’t make it to the lessons then don’t worry – you are buying a specific number of sessions with us. Although you will book a set day and time, you will be able to change into any other class of the same level - provided you are organised and there is space available to switch in to.
All we ask is that you use the lessons before the end of the term, as we cannot carry the lessons forwards to the next term unless you have a valid medical note. In this case, we can issue you a credit note for when you or your little one are feeling better. All these items will be able to be managed through your account.
In the unlikely event you are not happy with us we will of course will offer you a refund. However, all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes setting the programme up does mean we will only return 70% of the pro rata remaining value with us, as 30% of the fees goes into the administration of the programme.
While we love having you around, and we are sure you love having your belongings with you, we want to make sure you are aware that Trojan Sports cannot be responsible for any loss or damage to your property or valuables when you are joining us here at any of our venues or events.
ACCIDENT WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY:
Now the serious one…..the accident waiver and release of liability.
By becoming a member I hereby accept this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability, I acknowledge that my child, myself and anyone registered on my account, or accompanying anyone registered on this account, will be participating in an activity with Trojan Sports Academy, and that there may be some inherent risk of personal injury involved by way of accidents or exposure to communicable diseases such as COVID-19 while on site.
I understand that I must agree to this waiver in order for those registered on my account to participate in the activity, or attend any Trojan Sports Academy venue with someone who is participating in a Trojan Sports Academy activity.
I accept full responsibility for assuming any risks associated with the activity of those registered on my account, or those accompanying them, and I waive, release, and discharge Trojan Sport Academy, its employees, volunteers, and representatives from any liability for personal injury or accidents that may result from my own negligence or that of anyone registered on my account while participating in the activity, including any disregard for safety instructions.
PHYSICAL FITNESS:
I confirm that all those registered on my account are physically fit, adequately prepared, and have received no medical advice against participating in the activity or event. I also certify that there are no health-related issues that would prevent those registered on my account from participating in the activity or event.
I acknowledge that all those enrolled on my account must have their own medical insurance to participate in any activity, and I fully comprehend the potential risks associated with any activity or event, including unforeseeable accidents, injuries, and even death.
In the event of an injury, accident and/or illness during participation in the activity or event, I authorise Trojan Sports staff members or someone suitably qualified to provide appropriate medical treatment, as deemed necessary.
PHOTOGRAPHY:
We all love capturing those picture-perfect moments during each of the teaching and coaching session sessions…we don’t blame you as they are sure to paint a smile on your child’s face, but hold your horses! We have got to ensure that there aren’t any cameras present during those times, we don’t want any of our lovely swimmers to feel self-conscious, distracted or to have their privacy compromised in any way. As a result, please refrain from taking pictures at the pool that would have any other children other than yours in the background.
However as a compromise you can still snap away to your heart’s content during events and competitions, so long as it is just for your personal use…no paparazzi allowed unfortunately!
Now, this may sound like double standards…but we will take photos during the training session and at events…. unless you opt out of photography/video consent in your profile section…However we will only use these for either further development of our staff with coach-education and swimmer feedback, or, some of the very best footage we take could be used for marketing purposes. This means that you may well see your lovely face on our website, social media, press-releases or even funding applications. Cool, right!
Now, that is not to say that we don’t take our privacy very seriously, and we will ensure that these images are only used for their intended purposes. However, if you ever notice any inappropriate use of you, or your child’s images, please let us know as soon as you can as the safety of everyone is paramount.
PHYSICAL GUIDANCE IN THE WATER:
So listen up, Trojans! We know that you are ready to tackle those challenging strokes and skills, shots and backflips with us, and we are here to help you every step of the way. That is why we have some awesome instructors who are poised and ready to give you the very best guidance you need to succeed!
Now, here is the deal…sometimes that guidance might get a little hands-on. But, don’t worry any physical guidance given is all in strict accordance with international governing guidelines, and only happens when it is absolutely necessary, so you can put your trust in us to keep things safe, comfortable and enjoyable for all, we will even talk you though the process! If you are ready, then we are ready to give you all the support and guidance you need. Let’s do this!
PAYMENTS:
On confirmation of a booking with Trojan Sports, where payment is due and not paid via our online payment portal, you will have 7 working days to settle the total amount of this invoice. It can be settled via any of the following methods:
On receipt of payment, an electronic version of the invoice will be sent to you by email.
If you choose to make a payment by cheque, and this cheque is returned by the bank for any reason, there will be an administrative charge of AED 120 within 5 working days to be made to Trojan Sports.
REFUND / CANCELLATION:
In circumstances such as relocation outside of the country, and medical circumstances in which a valid doctor’s certificate is provided or in the unlikely event you are not happy with us, we will, of course, offer you a refund. However, all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes setting the programme up does mean we will only return 70% of the pro rata remaining value with us, as 30% of the fees goes into the administration of the programme.
Trojan Sports offer catch-up or credit notes for circumstances outlined below:
A catch-up lesson must be booked and used within the current term and any catch-up lessons not taken during the term will be expired. Credit sessions will be valid for 6 months only, from the date of issue, after which if not redeemed they will be expired.
THE RULES!
Finally, the rules….we don’t want to be the party pooper, but rules are rules…they are designed to ensure the maximum amount of fun can be had, in the safest possible manner.
Each sport will have its own rules and by becoming a member with us you agree to listen to the coaches and staff on site and of course follow the guidance and rules laid out by the venue. As these change, from sport to sport, and venue to venue, we will be sending them out when you sign up to any session with us.
They are all really simple things designed to keep you and your loved ones safe. It is assumed that you agree to all of the rules, in advance of coming on site, when you create your account with us - however, if there is anything that you really disagree with please do contact us and we will be more than happy to discuss it with you prior to you joining us.
