How will my child be protected during the lessons?

red arrow

Trojan Sports is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all Trojan staff to share this commitment. We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued. Our Teachers are always supported on the poolside by our Lifeguards, who are there to look after the poolside, help swimmers stay safe and carry out rescues in emergencies. We ensure our staff are well prepared for their job through ongoing development and monthly training. Your children are in safe hands!

Is there parking at the pool?

red arrow

Yes, there are plenty of parking spaces at the Dubai Police Academy. You will find more details about arriving at the site in your confirmation email. We can’t wait to see you here!

Are parents allowed to watch the lessons?

red arrow

Yes, but not just the parents.. your whole squad (family) are welcome to come along!

Is there changing room where I can get my child changed?

red arrow

We have both male and female changing rooms on poolside including toilets, changing cubicles and showers. Children over 8yrs old should use the changing room appropriate to their gender.

Do your lessons continue in any weather?

red arrow

Some light rain should not put off the budding sports children at Trojan Aquatics! However, we’ll always ensure child safety is our priority so we may stop our lessons for heavy rain and thunderstor.

My child has never had swimming lessons before, can they still join?

red arrow

Of course they can! Our level 1 lessons are for our beginner Trojans. Children should be reasonably fit and healthy, and not suffer from any physical or medical condition which may be aggravated by attending our Academy, cause injury to themselves or other children.

My child has learning difficulties, can they still join?

red arrow

We aim to be as inclusive as possible with an ‘open to all children’ policy. If your child requires extra support, please email or call us to discuss your child’s specific needs. This will allow us to determine whether any special arrangements need to be made. If Trojan Aquatics are unable to support in the best interest of your child, we will still do our best to find an alternative option for them.

What does my child need to bring to their lesson?

red arrow

Your child should come ‘swim ready’ to their lesson! This includes a swimming costume/shorts, goggles, a cap & towel. Each child will be given a Trojan cap at their first lesson with us once they become a Trojan.

Do you offer any discounts?

red arrow

At Trojan, we believe that making an informed decision about your child's development is important and shouldn’t be rushed…..after all, it’s your children’s dreams we are nurturing!

As a result we have chosen to operate in our own unique manner. One large decision we have made is to, on the whole, not offer any discounts. We really believe in our service, and especially the quality that we offer. We will happily offer free trials for everyone to come and feel the difference, however we will not try to fill the programme by offering discounts all year round.

Find out more in our ‘Making the right decision’ video!

Can my child arrive and leave the pool on their own?

red arrow

For children who are 8yrs old or younger, we operate with an adult-to-adult handover so a parent or guardian must be there throughout the duration of the lesson.

If your child is aged 9-11yrs, an adult is still required for drop-off and pick-up, however, your child is welcome to use the changing rooms on their own.

We are happy for children aged 12yrs and over to arrive and leave the poolside on their own. If you would like your child to do this, you will need to complete a consent form which can be found within your Account on our website.

– Corina Tickelpenny

Joining Trojan has been an incredible experience for my son, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. From the moment we stepped foot into the club, it was evident that the coaches are not only skilled but also incredibly passionate about what they do. Their dedication to helping each swimmer reach their full potential is truly commendable. My son looks forward to every session and the atmosphere is always positive and encouraging.
– Jou Mana

Our swimming sessions at Trojan is the one activity that both my children look forward to! The coaches are all superb, (Naomi, Lindsey, Anna), extremely professional, have amazing communication skills, (both with parents and students!) and are truly excellent at working with children. They have really encouraged my 7 year old daughter, who has been enrolled since last year, to make incredible progress and really hone in her swimming skills.
– Samar Kamali

The team at Trojan are simply better at inspiring, coaching, and empowering my children than any other swim academy we have been a part of. My children are not only making friends, they are improving as swimmers and developing strengths and qualities through the opportunities, personalised engagement and community the Academy offers.
